Structure/ Location
two-story multi-family dwelling of ordinary construction.
Cause & Origin/Damage Estimates
The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force responded and determined this to be an intentionally set fire with damages estimated placed at approximately $20K.

NO INJURIES
Evacuations/ Persons Displaced
FF’s were able to evacuate seven (7) occupancy ahead of the fire conditions. No one displaced

Incident Synopsis
Charlotte FF’s were first dispatched to a EMS call for service on Florence Ave. As they traveled to that incident they took notice of smoke conditions coming from the Silver Oaks Apartments. As another fire company was called to take care of the EMS run, the members of the Engine-3 arrived to report fire and smoke conditions showing from the stairwell area of these 2-story wood frame apartments. The FF’s on E-3 worked quickly to evacuate seven (7) people whom were occupying 2 apartments and control the fire conditions. The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force responded and ruled this fire to be intentionally set. Investigators are requesting the assistance from the community with information to be shared with Crime stoppers- # 704.334.1600.
