Cause & Origin/ Damage Estimates
Fire began in the attic; ruled accidental and electrical in nature. Damage estimates were set at approximately $50,000.
Injuries/Accidents
No injuries to report. Two dogs were taken out of the residence unharmed.

The fire caused extensive damage sufficient to displace one adult female.
Incident Synopsis
At 9:30 Tuesday morning Charlotte Firefighter’s were called to service for reports of a house on fire at 5712 Kildare Drive in Hampshire Hills. FF’s from nearby Fire Stations 34 & 15 arrived and reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the attic of this one-story ranch home. It took FF’s a little more than ten minutes to control the fire, but not before the fire caused extensive damage estimated at $50,000. There were no injuries to report. Two canines were removed from the residence without incidence and were unharmed. Charlotte Fire Investigators were able to determine the fire began in the attic and the cause was electrical in nature. The Red Cross was requested to assist one adult female with temporary housing.
