Incident Synopsis
Just after 8 pm Wednesday evening Charlotte Firefighters were called to service for a report of a house fire at 812 Capps Hill Mine Rd. Firefighters from nearby Station 18 & 25 were first to arrive and reported heavy smoke coming from a one-story single-family home. Firefighters from Stations 5, 8, and 10 also responded. In all twenty-seven firefighters were called to the scene and knocked down the fire in just under 15 minutes. The fire caused approximately $20 - $25,000 in damage and displaced one adult male. The fire has been ruled accidental and electrical in nature. The lone resident was able to secure temporary housing on his own.
