Fire, EMS, & Law Enforcement Team-up for Charity
Over the past four seasons, Salute to Heroes has raised over $80,000 via ticket sales and post-game jersey auctions to benefit the Charlotte Fire Department (CFD), Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), and MEDIC. In addition, the CFD and MEDIC teamed up against the CMPD and MCSO in a friendly hockey game, for which 3,000 people have purchased tickets to boost the overall fund-raising total. This year’s 5th Annual Salute to Heroes game presented by Time Warner Cable & The Pita Pit will be held following the Checkers game on Saturday, March 27.
